Justin Peck, 36, was so obsessed with the sugary drink that he would glug a 550ml bottle every morning for breakfast before polishing off another six cans each day. The drink, containing 46 grams of sugar per can, was not the only element in Justin ballooning to 280 pounds. The ex-solider had a weakness for junk food and would have a McDonalds meal for breakfast with a side of five breakfast burritos. But on New Years Day, the father-of-three from Alabama decided to ditch his half a dozen a day fizz habit and lost nearly 25 pounds in the first two weeks. He first got hooked on fizzy drinks after leaving the military in April 2008 drinking six cans per day until January 2018 . Overall he knocked back around 16,986 cans containing 46g of sugar each, and 2,831 bottles with 77g each, meaning he consumed a whopping 999,343g of sugar in total.
